Our John is multi-talented. I can't quite tell if he's doing some fancy break dancing moves or if he's practicing his Capoeira.

Johnny Loves His Brother
Anyone who says otherwise can go pound sand!! Would he read to him and play with him in his crib if he didn't?

Guess Who Likes Breakfast In Bed?
Who wouldn't enjoy watching "Make Way for Noddy" whilst enjoying pancakes, bananas, and toast? Just ignore the Halloween pjs. I told Maureen it would be ok for him to wear them. She was reluctant.
John Enjoys Nature
If you listen to KFI, you always hear ads about dandelions being weeds. Obviously, Maureen wasn't paying attention and decided to teach John to spread hundreds of seeds all over the place. John Kobylt would be so proud of her.
Someone Enjoys Splashing
Maureen loves to go for walks with John. She loves to let him do things that I'd never let him do like splashing in water. I guess I wouldn't let the splashing since my mother never let us do it. Oh well, he loves it, so I'm not going to complain. I think Mami is going to have a fit with this photo, but look at the smile on his face.
Last Saturday
Our Nicholas was the star of the baptism, but John was still quite popular with everyone involved. At first, he was a little shy and started to cry when everyone started to appear in the church. He's not a fan of crowds, but he eventually warmed up to everyone. As you can see, he was comfortable enough to just sit down and play with his trains in the church.
Throughout the ceremony, he would act up every so often, but he had is aunts (pronounced "ants" not "auh-nts", I don't care what Sister Angela Clare said) and uncles to distract him. As a mater of fact, Uncle Rick wanted to order a margarita from John because he said he looked like a waiter at El Coyote. I would have to agree with that. If his guyabera were white, it would be a different matter. He'd look like an old man sitting in the park in "El Centro" of Merida. In either event, he wore his shirt well.
On a side note, some of you may recall that he didn't want to eat his cake at his first birthday party. Things have really changed since then. As Maureen was cutting the cake (that read "Good Bless Nicholas", go to Nick's blog for details), he'd get little pieces. He liked it so much that he kept on saying, "Cake! Cake!" He knows good cake, Hansen's, when he eats it. Anywho, as you can see, he had a bit of fun with his cake. From the picture, you can see that the shirt is not the only thing that our boy wore. He was running around with frosting on him until his Chinese grandma tracked him down and wiped his face.

The Beach Boy
Maureen went down to visit some friends on Thursday in Newport Beach. She decided to take John along with her for a special John and Mommy day. As some of you know, John loves anything and everything to do with water, so he just had a field day. The house was right on the water.
After a long day of fun in the sun, they came back home for dinner and night night. Prior to going night night is tubby time. As you can see, John got quite a nice tan. Since he's a bit of a naturist, I would have thought that he'd have no tan lines, but I guess he is a bit modest in public.
The Brothers That Bathe Together
Nicholas has basically outgrown his tub we placed in the sink, so Maureen decided to try out putting John and Nicholas in the tub together. Normally, I'd be opposed because I believe in modesty. Since John is a bit of a naturist, I figure that it's ok. As you can see, John wasn't too sure what to think of his bathing buddy.

Overheard
Word on the street is that John had a play date with his little girlfriend, Julia, today. Apparently, he cried when she left.
Easter
After our crazy night at the Emergency Room, John wasn't in much of a mood to do anything or use his left arm. He walked around with it at his side like it was withered and wasted away. He was too scared to do much with his Easter basket, so we weren't able to get any good shots. He was very somber and didn't feel the joy of being able to say Alleluia after not being able to say it during Lent. He did, however, love his trains and beep beeps (cars) that the Easter Bunny left him.
Later, we headed toward the Zamarin House in Malibu for supper at Uncle Ron and Aunt Sally's house. As always, the Easter decorations were out en masse and the view from the bluff was spectacular. At first, John didn't want to use his arm. He was doing things with his right hand, but as he started playing with Adriana and Tommy, our little gimp forgot that he was scared to use his arm. It was such a relief to see him gripping his trains with his left hand. He was quite taken with the fish pond in the front courtyard. As you know, he loves water and this just made his day.
Later, as we drove to the Gonzalez House, John took a nice nap. When we got there, he was off like a bull in a china shop. He just went crazy playing with his Gonzalez cousins. He ran around in circles and just delighted his aunts and uncles. This boy knows how to work a crowd. It's good he's going to be the ambassador to the Vatican some day.
Crazy Saturday
John had a pretty good day, but it turned into a CRAZY night. The day started by going to Joey's Gym. Unfortunately, it was closed, so we had to go to our back-up plan, Roxbury Park. He ran around like crazy and did some laps before we had to leave to head for Larchmont for lunch at the Wine Shop. John had his prosciutto sandwich and even tried Maureen's tuna sandwich. I was pretty grossed out by it since I'm grossed out by things that smell.
The rest of the day went well. It all turned when John woke up screaming in pain. We could tell something was wrong. When Maureen called the Dr. K's office, Dr. K called back and said that it sounded like John was suffering from Nursemaids Elbow, a common dislocation of the elbow. We immediately went to the Emergency Room and a nice doctor was able to fix John's arm. He avoided using that arm for the longest time, but he started using it again when he was playing with his cousins on Easter.
