There wasn't anything too interesting this week in JD's life. His teeth are becoming more prominent. The bottom two are no longer just tiny little buds. They have poked through and are on the way to being full fledged baby teeth. I would have said milk teeth, but I just don't like that term. It's odd in my humble opinion.
He's doing quite well on his solids. He no longer cries when we feed him. He eats like a little wolf. He can't get the spoon in his mouth quick enough. If he could speak, I'm sure he'd be quoting Oliver by saying, "Can I please have some more?" Actually, he really should have said, "May I please have some more?", but I'm not going to correct an orphan from a classic novel and film. Anywho, it's a great joy to watch the boy eat his new foods. This week, it's sweet potatoes.
Earlier in the week, John was feeling a bit under the weather. It seems he may have caught a cold that both Maureen and I had last week. He didn't sleep well Monday or Tuesday. Actually, he really didn't sleep. He'd wake up every hour and we averaged about 3.5-hours sleep those two nights. Finally, on Wednesday night, John was able to sleep through the night. Maureen made a very funny comment as she put him to sleep. She said, "Maybe tonight is the turning point?" Sure enough, it was.
So, to sum it up, John had an average week, but he's learned to enjoy his foods. And, he loves the "Morning's Here" song that we sing to him every morning.
