This Week in the Life of JD

Let's see where can we begin. Of course, we have the delightful video of our little boy making a nice little crawl in an attempt to get some keys. That boy just loves keys. We're so proud of him. He's right on track for being a super genius.

Then again, I was a bit dismayed at him yesterday because he threw a fit at his hair cut. How am I supposed to take him to Jerry the Barber if he doesn't behave well at The Yellow Balloon? Jerry has already told me that he does not like to cut small children's hair until they can sit still in the chair. I am going to be mortified if Jerry says he won't cut John's hair. Oh well, we'll give it another year at the Yellow Balloon before we move it over to Jerry if he hasn't retired by then. Anyway, he no longer looks like a hippie, so we are pleased. Adrianna, John's stylist, does areally good job at The Yellow Balloon.

Today, we had a fun filled day that started with Mass at St. Anastasia. Some might argue that's not exactly a fun way to start the day, but John had a field day crawling, or trying to crawl, up the aisle. After that, we went to our favorite restaurant in Marina del Rey, Tony P's. Being the good boy that he is, John sat in his high chair and enjoyed a lovely meal of peas and pears. He was such a good boy and waited until Maureen and I had finished our meals.

To cap off our lovely day, we took a lovely stroll around the grounds of Park La Brea this afternoon. We decided to see if John would do some crawling on a blanket. He was hesitant at first because he just didn't know what to make of the fountain. It would turn on and off. He was transfixed by it, but he eventually warmed up and started to play around on the blanket. Maureen took a lovely series of photos that will be available to those on the photo subscription service. We call them, "John in the City, Part II". If you look closely at the video, you can see the purple flowers that were falling off the jacaranda trees.

On a final note (if you can make it through all this woolgathering of mine), John has recently started having interesting bowel movements. They look like little milk duds, so if you are at our place and you see what you think is a milk dud on the floor, DO NOT PICK IT UP WITH YOUR HAND!!! It may just be one of his little poop balls that rolled out of the diaper as we were changing him.
